ONEIDA VETERAN'S MEMORIAL WALL & PURPLE HEART MONUMENT

The Oneida Veterans Wall was created to honor all those who Veterans who served in the Armed Forces.  The Oneida people were this countries first allies fighting with George Washington in the Revolutionary War. The wall is a monument to all those who fought and gave their lives for this country. The Oneida Veterans Wall was originally constructed in 2007.

 

 

On May 22, 2021, the Purple Heart Monument was dedicated.  October 9, 2021 a Liberty Tree placed in memory of  Revolutionary War Capt. James Powless by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The wall is located on HWY 54 and County FF on the Amelia Cornelius Culture Park and is open year around.

Starting July 5, 2022 the wall will be under repair, new lettering and special cap system with lights.
